Implementing strategies to address social determinants that impact infant mortality, expand services for men, and reduce repeat teen pregnancy and tobacco use in and around pregnancy were among the priorities selected for Coalition action in the coming year. The Coalition membership reviewed strategies adopted as part of the 2012-13 Annual Action Plan  during its June meeting. The plan outlines specific activities to address gaps and needs identified in the Coalition’s five-year Service Delivery Plan. The need to focus on prevention of legal and illegal drug use during pregnancy, as well as sleep-related deaths was also highlighted by the membership.
