Baker County Infant Mortality Task Force & Substance-exposed Newborn Workgroup Meeting
September 13 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Human Services Program Specialist Stephanie Bechtel with the Florida Department of Health Baker County Healthy Start program hosts an Infant Mortality Task Force and Substance-exposed Newborn Prevention meeting for the Baker community to discuss what can be done to get more babies to their first birthday and action steps that can be taken to defeat infant mortality. In this meeting, members also discuss the prevention of substance-exposed newborns suffering from opioid withdrawal as that has an impact on infant mortality rates across the nation.
The meeting will be held at FDOH Baker County in the conference room at 480 West Lowder St. Macclenny, Florida 32063.
For the September meeting, organizations with materials that provide education in the prevention of infant mortality and substance-exposed newborns are encouraged to bring 50 informational print materials and/or 50 marketing materials in order to stuff gift bags for families with children under 12 months.
The gift bags will be passed out on Tuesday, September 18 starting at 10 AM with everyone meeting up at the Baker County Health Department.
Hope to see you there!
