The Healthy Start Coalition is a public-private partnership that is uniquely able to leverage local, state and federal funding to meet the needs of the community. The Coalition model is cost-effective and maximizes services. While the majority of our funding is used to contract with outside agencies to provide direct case management services to Healthy Start clients, we consistently identify community needs and develop important initiatives. We undertake projects — like the Azalea Project, Safe Sleep campaigns and teen pregnancy prevention initiatives— that do not have a funding source but are vital to saving babies, strengthening families and building communities. With this donation, we can help ensure that every mother has a chance to have a healthy baby!
