March for Babies: Why we walk

Almost 4 million babies are born in the United States each year; we walk to ensure their opportunity for a healthy start. Every baby deserves a fighting chance.

The March of Dimes strives to prevent premature births, birth defects and infant loss. Through their research and prevention, each baby has a better chance at a healthy birth outcome. March of Dimes partners with the Coalition to accomplish these same goals — they fund some of our specific community initiatives and we are glad to be community partners.

Every year they host a March for Babies walk where more than 5,000 people join in support of moms and babies. Funds raised help provide education and advocacy across the community and country and truly make a difference to families.

The 2018 March for Babies event is Saturday, May 12 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Jacksonville University: 2800 University Blvd S Jacksonville, FL 32211.
