Report compares health coverage expansion plans

Confused about options currently being considered by the Florida Legislature for expanding health care coverage to the uninsured? The Florida Center for Fiscal and Economic Policy has put together a side-by-side comparison of the plans.

Both the Senate and House have rejected the option of expanding Medicaid as a strategy for extending coverage to uninsured adults in higher income groups. Three alternative plans have been proposed, only one of which takes advantage of federal funding available under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Women and families of childbearing age currently make up the majority of the uninsured in Florida. Read the report here.
