Rounds at the Grounds 2012

Rounds at the Grounds 2012 was a great success despite the inclement weather! Thank you to all the doctors, sponsors, donors and fans who came out! We raised more than $40,000 to make sure every baby has a healthy start!

The third annual Rounds at the Grounds was cancelled twice due to weather, but doctors, nurses, sponsors and Healthy Start fans still came out August 19 for a reception at the Suns stadium. Thank you to everyone who came out, supported the event and spread the word about having healthy babies!

Rounds is a partnership with the Jacksonville Suns that builds on Healthy Start’s commitment to community awareness and action. Each day, doctors and nurses step up to the plate to hit homeruns for Jacksonville families seeking quality health care and solutions. Leading up to National Infant Mortality Awareness Month (September), players signed up to play a celebrity softball game.

Thank you to all of our sponsors and donors: Eugene Monroe, the Dorothy Wilson Mabry Legacy Fund, St. Vincent’s HealthCare, Wolfson Children’s Hospital, Rayonier, Mayo Clinic, Best Bet Greyhound Racing, Regions, the DuBow Foundation, the Health Planning Council of Northeast Florida, Brooks Rehabilitation, Shands Jacksonville, World Wide Communications, Linda Asay & Bob Spaeth, Mary Jane McRae, Cindy Neville, Catherine Hardee Drew, Dr. Harry Abram and Melinda & Dennis Wyman.

Special thanks to the Chartrand Foundation, which is generously matching the money raised to support the Make a Noise! Make a Difference! community education and awareness campaign!
