Lee R. Brown III is a full-time writer, blogger and community volunteer. He was previously the Director of Human Resources for Edward Waters College, Human Resources Manager with HabiJax and with the Northeast Florida Regional Council.
Lee is a veteran of the United States Army, where he received the Purple Heart and Army of Occupation Medal, in aaddition to numerous other medals and commendations. Lee’s military career has taken him to places such as the Republic of South Korea and to Berlin, Germany. Lee is also a life member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, where he serves as the Department of Florida Senior Vice Commander and holds life memberships with the Disabled American Veterans, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
Lee has also served on various boards, including the Duval County Job Opportunities Board, Theatre Jacksonville, Hubbard House, and Jacksonville Community Council Inc. where he currently serves as Fund Development Chair. He is a Gold Life member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Lee is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Jacksonville.
Lee holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Sociology and a Master of Arts Degree in Human Resources Management.
In his spare time Lee enjoys playing golf, riding motorcycles and hanging out with friends and family.
