The Florida Department of Health is hosting a webinar on “Sudden Unexpected Infant Deaths (SUIDs): Causes, Risk Factors & Prevention Strategies.” The webinar will be available March 5 from 10-11am.

The webinar will include an introduction to SUIDs, an investigation of SUIDs in FLorida and federal and state initiatives to reduce sleep-related infant deaths. Sleep-related deaths, which include SUIDs and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) are a leading cause of post-neonatal infant deaths and a preventable cause — most of these deaths can be prevented with education on the risk factors.
