The Text4Baby text messaging program for pregnant women and moms launched their second state enrollment contest May 17. States have until October 22 to be one of the top three to enroll the most new users.
The contest will have weekly winners and overall winners, all based on users enrolled as a proportion of live births in the state. The winners will be announced on October 29 at the American Public Health Association Annual Meeting in San Francisco, CA.
All fifty states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands are eligible to compete.
Women can text BABY to 511411 (or BEBE for updates in Spanish) to receive weekly updates and tips from Text4Baby based on their stage of pregnancy or age of their baby. They will be asked to enter the baby’s due date or birthday and their zip code. The service is completely free and an initiative of the National Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition.
