Our next Project IMPACT report, which details findings from a percentage of fetal and infant deaths that occurred over the past year in our five county service area, will be released  Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024. Each month, our fetal and infant mortality review (FIMR) team analyzes deaths that meet specific criteria. They review birth, death, medical, hospital, home visitation, WIC and autopsy records in order to determine any medical, social, financial or other issues that may have contributed to the baby’s death. The team’s findings serve as the basis for recommendations for implementation by our community action group the following year.
