The Museum of Science and History is opening a new exhibit, RACE: Are We So Different?, from January 26-April 28. The Coalition is a sponsor of the exhibit, which focuses on health disparities, including infant mortality.
The RACE exhibition examines the topic from scientific, historical and cultural perspectives. The exhibit will include a collection of video, photography, printed word and interactive technology resources.
The Coalition plans to take advantage of the exhibit by holding a diversity training; planning a Make a Difference! Leadership Academy field trip; and other meetings.
The RACE project was developed by the American Anthropological Association and is funded by the Ford Foundation & National Science Foundation. Since 2007, it has been featured at nearly 30 different locations around the country.
