North Florida Health Corps members and staff joined dozens of other local volunteers and community members to celebrate 20 years of national service. The event commemorated the 20th Anniversary of both the AmeriCorps program and Volunteer Florida.
As part of a group service project with other local AmeriCorps programs and community partners, several projects were undertaken to benefit the Jacksonville community:
- Through Clean the World, more than 2,000 hygiene kits were assembled.
- 7,000 pounds of canned food were sorted and packaged for Duval County seniors
- A mural was painted at Terry Parker High School.
The theme of the event was “Volunteer Florida 20/20: Celebrating the past and envisioning the future.”
