Coalition staff shared their expertise, best practices and successes at several conferences throughout Florida over the last few weeks.
Several staff presented posters and a presentation at the Florida First 1000 Days Summit in Palm Beach October 21-23. The conference, which was sponsored by the Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County, Florida MIECHV and other early childhood organizations, focused attention on the importance of investing early during this critical period of brain development.

- Duval County Nurse-Family Partnership team, “A Piece of Cake: Successful Recruitment and Retention Strategies for Families.” The poster won the People’s Choice Award based on voting by conference participants.
The Coalition was invited by the Clinton Foundation to share local examples of using the Clinton Health Matters Initiative Blueprint for Action bold action steps during a data and research workshop at the See the Girl Summit on Oct. 23. Marketing, Communications and Outreach Director Erin Addington presented “Let’s Build Something! Using the Blueprint for Action & Bold Actions in local work.”
On November 10, Magnolia Project Director Faye Johnson participated in a panel discussion at the Florida Prematurity Summit in Tampa.
