KidsWell Florida released a toolbox today that provides simplified information about how kids currently access health care and ways to improve the Florida KidCare program. Florida has the third highest number of uninsured children despite efforts to enroll children in Medicaid and the state children’s health insurance program.
The toolbox includes policies or practices that can be implemented on the federal level, state level or through legislative or administrative actions to improve enrollment and retention in KidCare.
KidsWell Florida formed earlier this year to focus on improving access to affordable health care for uninsured children by coordinating efforts throughout the state to remove administrative barriers and ensure funding is available for programs like KidCare.
