The Magnolia Project has expanded its partnership with Agape Family Health Services to provide a full array of prenatal, well-woman and primary care services at its two community-based locations. Agape joined the new Magnolia East location (6024 Merrill Rd) as the clinical provider in April 2020, and will begin services at Magnolia West (5300 N. Pearl St.) on May 24th, 2021.

The Magnolia Project is a special federally-funded Healthy Start initiative to improve the health and well-being of women during their childbearing years (15–44 years old) in zip codes32208, 32209, 32211 and 32277. This area in the city’s central urban core and adjacent area was selected as the target area for implementation of the Magnolia Project due to the high infant mortality rate and maternal mortality.

Agape is a federally qualified health center that accepts most medical health insurance including Medicaid and offers a sliding fee discount program for those who are uninsured. Their focus is providing exceptional health care services that are accessible to the entirety of the Jacksonville community by providing easier and greater access to those that are not only insured, but also to those who are underserved and uninsured.
