The Make a Noise! Make a Difference! community education and awareness campaign is now on the WeGive.org and Give and Go! Donations made through the two campaigns will fund the Make a Difference! Leadership Academy. Help us provide skills for effective community leadership in order to foster a better and healthier future for our city!
WeGive.org
We Give is an iniative of the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida that makes donating simple. The website allows donors to find a project that matches their passion and choose the size of their donation. To date, almost 900 people have given over $47,000
For the Make a Difference! Leadership Academy, different levels of donations can help fund specific parts of the Leadership Academy and assist residents with the ability to access the program.
- $10: Provides one hour of child care so a parent can attend leadership classes
- $25: Provides bus passes for one student to attend class for the entire leadership program
- $50: Suppplies an incoming class with the leadership program curriculum
- $75: Supplies a class of leadership students with pens, notebooks, and organizational planners
- $100: Supports a field trip to a leadership event, such as city hall or school district meetings
Give & Go
For every ticket you purchase to any of the Jaguars 2012 preseason and regular season games through the secure Give and Go! site, you automatically donate $10 to Northeast Florida Healthy Start Coalition. In addition, the donation is matched dollar-for-dollar and sent to fund the Coalition’s project on WeGive.org.
Give and Go! is a partnership between the Nonprofit Center, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and WeGive.org.
Make a Difference!
The Make a Difference! Leadership Academy is a 12-week leadership program that empowers community members of North Jacksonville to recognize needed change while teaching the skills to take action toward realizing a solution. Topics include your personal leadership style, community values, ethics, effective meetings & public speaking, conflict resolution, community diversity and community action planning. The course also features field trips to various leadership events, such as a City Hall and School District meetings.
The curriculum emphasizes the impact of a community on its residents, and the Northeast Florida Healthy Start Coalition has consistently educated and raised awareness of the community’s impact on infant mortality.
