Triqana Powell is a case manager with the Magnolia Project, providing services to moms before, during and after pregnancy in Jacksonville’s highest risk infant mortality zip codes. She joined the Coalition in October 2016 as part of the Healthy Families Jacksonville program, moving into the Magnolia position in November 2020.
Triqana is inspired by the challenges she has faced to push harder and do better. She is passionate about helping others and telling her story on this journey of life.
She joined the Coalition because she wanted to work in a diverse environment of all cultures, and to inspire others. She chose her program because she “felt that no matter our different walks of life we all need someone to listen to us, to motivate us, to just be a helping hand at times., etc.”
Her biggest achievement at the Coalition has been to gain trust from her participants and connect well with them to feel relief and open up to her. Outside of the Coalition, her biggest achievements is her kids and pushing them to become something in life.
Triqana describes herself in two words, EXCITING and BOLD. Outside of work, she enjoys shopping, decorating, reading, watching movies, meditating and praying.
