There will be a safe infant sleep webinar hosted by the Association of Women’s Health and Obstetric Neonatal Nurses September 19.

The webinar, Safe Infant Sleep: Implementing Evidence-Based Recommendations, will discuss the role of a nurse in preventing Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and give practical tips for hospital implementation of safe sleep practices.

SIDS is the third leading cause of infant mortality in the United States and is preventable. Education and awareness can help save the lives of newborns. The webinar is being held during National Infant Mortality Awareness Month.
