Peer Health Advocates develop PSA about safe sex, teen pregnancy

A group of teens from the Victory Pointe Apartments developed a public service announcement around safe sex and teen pregnancy.

“One Moment. One Time. One Life.” addresses the risk of unprotected sex and the hardships of teen pregnancy and parenting.

The teens are part of the Duval County Health Department’s Peer Health Advocates program, which empowers youth ages 15-24 to assist in improving sexual health among their peers.

The PHAs are graduates of the 4Me Teen Health Project and took part in the Teen Leadership Council, where they wrote and acted out a play for their community on HIV/AIDS and dating violence, called “The Person Who Never Knew.”
