Congratulations to Dr. Catherine Drew, the Coalition’s Board of Directors Chair, for her recent appointment to the state Board of Psychology! Gov. Rick Scott appointed her to a four-year term effective November 24.

Dr. Drew is a psychologist and the chief executive officer for Florida Psychological Associates, LLC.

The Florida Board of Psychology was legislatively established to ensure that every psychologist practicing in this state meets minimum requirements for safe practice. The Board is responsible for licensing, monitoring, disciplining and educating psychologists to assure competency and safety to practice in Florida.

Dr. Drew was elected as Board Chair of the Healthy Start Coalition in January 2015. She joined the Coalition in 2011 while she was completing an internship at the Northeast Florida State Hospital for her doctorate in Clinical Psychology, which she received from Florida State University in 2013. Dr. Drew is currently employed with the Nassau County School District and is a Nassau County resident.
